Hello... Jodi of Che & Fidel here guest posting... It's been a few years since I've delved into the newborn/baby world. This time 'round I'm being a little bit more restrained with my purchases. I'm wary of filling my home with unnecessary baby items and am searching for products that have purpose and are imbued with beauty. For my almost 3.5 year old I have always bought hand made, organic or mama made items and I plan to do the same with my second little one. So, what's on my wish-list?
A Nature Baby newborn pack (above)... This New Zealand company makes the most gorgeous clothes for children using organic cotton. They wash well, last for ages and, importantly, are classically stylish.
I'm a big fan of baby wearing (I wore Che till he was 19months old) and I'm going to splurge on a Sakura Bloom linen sling in the raven/maple colourway...
I think it's important as a Mother to nurture yourself. I've been using Gaia's Pure Pregnancy Belly Butter for a few months now. The scent is divine and it soaks into the skin without leaving an oily residue. It's my favourite beauty product at the moment and I'll use it till birth (and probably beyond)...
If there is one product I always buy a new muma it's a l'il fraser baby wrap. The best wrap in the world - super stretchy, incredibly soft and useful as a wrap, breastfeeding cover, pram cover and play mat. I'll be getting the Bailey and Charlotte colourway...
And for big brother? A snug beanie (below) to keep his head and ears warm - and to ensure the cuteness lasts all Winter. I'm choosing the Acorn too hoo beanie (and I have his approval!)
